Made from a premium blend of 64% Australian Merino Wool, 34% Nylon, and 2% Lycra® Spandex, EXFIL™ Performance Socks are built around one of the most balanced fiber compositions available for a high-performance outdoor sock.

Our Merino wool is sourced from Australia, home to some of the world's finest Merino sheep. Australia's unique climate, responsible farming practices, and generations of wool-growing expertise produce exceptionally soft, resilient, and premium-quality fibers renowned throughout the outdoor industry.

The 64% Merino wool content is high enough to fully deliver the natural benefits that make Merino wool the preferred choice for serious outdoor users. It provides outstanding temperature regulation, efficiently wicks moisture away from the skin, naturally resists odor, and offers exceptional next-to-skin comfort. Once the Merino content exceeds approximately 60%, these performance characteristics become significantly more noticeable.

The 34% nylon content is carefully selected to dramatically increase durability. While pure Merino wool offers incredible comfort, it naturally wears faster in high-friction areas such as the heel and toe. By incorporating high-strength nylon, EXFIL™ Performance Socks resist abrasion, withstand extended use in boots, and maintain their integrity through hiking, hunting, rucking, climbing, tactical operations, and everyday wear.

The 2% Lycra® Spandex provides the perfect amount of stretch and recovery, allowing the socks to conform comfortably to your feet while maintaining their shape and staying securely in place throughout the day.

Manufacturing Process

Every pair is manufactured through a carefully controlled six-step process to ensure premium quality and long-lasting performance.

Spinning – Premium Australian Merino wool fibers are blended with nylon and Lycra® Spandex before being spun into a soft, durable, and consistent performance yarn.

Knitting – Advanced knitting technology creates an ergonomic sock with reinforced heel and toe zones, targeted cushioning, and a supportive fit.

Hand-Linking – Every toe seam is individually hand-linked, creating an exceptionally smooth, nearly seamless finish that minimizes friction and pressure points.

Boarding – The socks are steamed on precision foot forms to achieve their final shape, stabilize the fabric, and ensure consistent sizing and a professional finish.

Inspection – Every pair undergoes meticulous quality inspection to verify construction, elasticity, stitching, sizing, and craftsmanship.

Packaging – After passing inspection, every pair is carefully paired, labeled, and packaged to preserve its quality until it reaches you.
